John,
As I’m sure you know, Trump’s budget bill passed — and the consequences are already starting to hit home. It all makes me so damn angry.
Hospitals are bracing for closures. SNAP recipients are being dropped from food assistance programs. Millions of seniors and children are set to lose their healthcare via Medicaid. And all of it — all of it — was done to make Trump’s tax cuts for billionaires permanent.
It is also a clear sign that the GOP majority in Congress is not listening to the needs of the American people — the ones they were elected to serve.
Every day, it feels like the urgency heightens on gaining a Democratic majority to break up the MAGA trifecta. Our most realistic path to that goal is in the House. That is why my colleagues and I are raising resources early to support some of the most vulnerable swing districts nationwide. We also know that PA is a focus for the GOP so I am fully aware I cannot leave anything up to chance.
We’re launching an urgent push to fight back, and my team let me know that we need to raise an additional $9,400 before the end of next week to hit our campaign goals. Can you chip in right away?
This wasn’t just bad policy. It was a calculated attack on working families, seniors, and kids.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: this legislation is cruel. It delivers a massive windfall to billionaires while ripping away essential care and support from working families, seniors, and children. And now that it’s passed, we’re seeing just how devastating it will be.
In case you needed a refresher, here’s what we’re bracing for:
- $1 trillion cut from Medicaid — with cruel work requirements that will leave over 7 million people uninsured
- $186 billion cut from SNAP — while grocery costs remain painfully high
- Planned Parenthood defunded — eliminating access to vital reproductive and preventive care
- Environmental protections gutted — greenlighting polluters and rolling back climate action
- Trump’s billionaire tax breaks are locked in permanently
This bill is already hurting people — and without resources to fight back against a powerful GOP special-interest lobby, it’s going to get worse. That’s why we’re fundraising right now, to help power our response, organize voters, and hold the GOP accountable.
Because here’s the deal: it’s clear their priorities are nowhere near ours. They don’t care about running this country effectively for our families — but I know YOU do. And so do I.
Can you chip in to help us fight back?

I fought this bill in committee and on the House floor. And I’m not done fighting. But I need you with me now.
Thanks for standing up when it counts most.
