CHAIRMAN’S MONDAY MEMO 7/14/2025

Democrats Won’t Save Women’s Sports

Republicans Blocked from Voting on the Bill
House Republicans took a stand to protect fairness in women’s sports by attempting to force a vote on the Save Women’s Sports Act, which would ban biological males from competing in girls’ and women’s athletic programs in Pennsylvania. Despite strong support, House Democrats blocked the effort and refused to allow the bill to advance, choosing politics over protecting female athletes.

Hottest Week in Presidential History
President Trump’s Accomplishments are Stacking Up
President Trump just had one of the hottest weeks in presidential history:
✅ 147,000 new jobs added, beating expectations.
✅ Signed the One Big Beautiful Bill, delivering historic tax relief, border security, and school choice.
✅ Brokering peace helping the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda reach a peace deal.
✅ Egg prices are down, bringing relief to families at the grocery store.
This is why the United States overwhelmingly voted for President Trump last November. This is what real leadership looks like. Promises made, promises kept.
We Need Your Help!
LTE Opportunity
We need your help to spread the word about the latest Democratic move that threatens women's sports. Recently, the PA State Senate passed bipartisan legislation that would prevent biological males from competing in women's sports. House Democrats changed the rules to prevent House Republicans from bringing this commonsense legislation to the floor. We need your help to get the word out that House Democrats are actively blocking reforms that would make women's sports safe and fair.
Below we have a draft letter to the editor that you can submit to your local newspaper. Please, feel free to make changes! Pennsylvania House Democrats should be held accountable for the political games they are playing with women's sports:
Since when has fairness and safety become controversial? Pennsylvania’s legislature should want what’s best for women and girls competing in sports in our Commonwealth.
Recently, Senate Bill 9 passed with an overwhelming bipartisan majority in our State Senate. This was thanks to our Senate Republican majority who pushed to bring common sense back to athletics and prevent biological males from competing in women’s sports. We’ve seen examples across the country where transgender athletes have competitive advantages over their biological female opponents. The public sees it too. In recent surveys, opposition to allowing transgender individuals competing in women’s sports is as high as 80%.
However, now the Pennsylvania House Democrats are stalling and refusing to bring the bill to the floor. They have chosen instead to block the opportunity to bring fairness and safety back to women’s sports. House Republicans even tried to bring the legislation out of its House Committee, but the Democrats quickly changed the rules to keep it bottled up.
Thank you to the Pennsylvania Senate and House Republicans for having the backs of female athletes in our Commonwealth. It’s clear that Governor Shapiro and the majority of elected House Democrats are more concerned with radical elements in their base and not the female athletes that are being robbed of a fair chance to compete.
