Hi John,
Right now, plastic is choking the ocean at a terrifying rate — harming wildlife, polluting our blue spaces, and even ending up in our bodies.
We know the only real solution is to turn off the tap at source. And this year, we finally have a chance to do it.
World leaders are working on a Global Plastics Treaty — a historic agreement that could finally slash plastic production worldwide. I’ll be at the negotiations, fighting to make sure the UK backs bold, legally binding targets that actually deliver.
But we can’t rely on promises alone. We need a strong national action plan that cuts plastic production, creates a circular economy and holds polluters to account.
Plastic producers and polluters are already working behind the scenes to weaken these plans — putting their profits above the health of us and our planet.
That’s why, this Saturday, we’re taking to the streets and beaches for The People vs Plastic protests [[link removed]]. Together, we’ll show leaders that we demand real action to protect the ocean and our future. ✊
Will you join us, John?

When I’m out surfing, I see the truth up close: plastic pollution is everywhere. Bags masquerading as jellyfish, fishing lines that choke life from the water — even in so-called 'marine protected' areas. It’s clear that no wave, no wildlife, and no human is safe until we tackle this crisis at its source.
I’ll be taking all of this, and your voices, with me to the Global Plastics Treaty. And in the lead up to these talks, we need to pile on the pressure!
So come along to The People vs Plastic protests [[link removed]] this Saturday. Use your voice. Expose the polluters. And demand real change. I hope you can join us for this epic day of action, John!
Thank you for being part of this movement. 🌊
