Friend—what happened to Officer James Brennand should never happen in America.
This is Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
And I want you to hear the truth—because the media sure won’t tell it.
But first, will you make a life-saving donation today to help Officer James Brennand stand his ground in court?
While on scene, he spotted a BMW that matched the description of a vehicle that had evaded him the night before. James suspected the car was stolen and called for backup.
But he was also concerned the suspect would flee again—so he approached the car before other officers arrived.
He opened the door and gave a clear command to the driver: get out of the vehicle.
The driver, Erik Cantu Jr., didn’t comply.
Instead, Cantu threw the car in reverse…with the door still open…and dragged Officer Brennand as the car backed up.
Fearing for his life, Officer Brennand discharged his weapon.
Cantu survived. The passenger was unharmed.
But now? Cantu and his family are suing the city—and Officer Brennand personally.
Meanwhile, James has been fired… arrested… and charged with attempted murder.
And get this: Since that incident, Cantu has been arrested four more times. He’s currently on house arrest. Some of his earlier charges—including evading detention and assault on an officer—have already been dropped.
Let me be clear: James didn’t act out of malice. He didn’t act recklessly.
He acted to protect himself and others—just like he was trained to do.
But that doesn’t matter to the activist prosecutor in Bexar County. Or to the radicals who want to see every cop behind bars.
They want James to spend the rest of his life in prison.
And unless we help him fight back, that’s exactly what could happen.
