Hi John,
Before I ever ran for Congress, I was and still am a professor. I ran for school board because I was tired of hearing that the Central Valley was only known for the wrong kinds of statistics.

I know our students can thrive. I know our community can flourish. And I know we can reverse the outcomes that have held so many families back for far too long.
But that only happens if we have strong leadership that believes in our potential and fights for it like our lives depend on it.
I am where I am today because I had educators and leaders who believed in me, who believed in my potential.
Whether a student wants to go to a four-year university, the military, or straight into the workforce – I want them to have the schools, skills, and resources they need to succeed.
That’s exactly why I’m running for Congress.
Because I know the power of education. I know what happens when someone invests in our students and believes in their future. And I also know first-hand what’s at stake when Washington forgets about places like the Central Valley.
