I spent eight years alongside President Obama working to strengthen America's standing on the world stage. Donald Trump has spent the last three years tearing that progress apart.
He's insulted our closest friends and threatened the alliances we put in place following World War II. He has eroded international treaties like the Iran nuclear deal and the Paris Climate Agreement that were designed to keep us safe. We cannot give Trump and his cronies another four years to undermine America's leadership in the world and undo decades of progress, John, so I am asking for your urgent support today.
I'm coming directly to folks like you because the stakes in this race have never been higher, and because the truth is I just can't win this thing without you. We now have under five months to scale and execute the programs needed to win the election of our lifetimes, and it's going to take a fully-supported DNC to get there. That's why I've got to ask you:
