Dear John,
Long lines at gun stores. The murder of Ahmaud Arbery. Right-wing, assault-rifle toting gun extremists storming state capitols across the country. Police shooting unarmed Black people. National Guard troops spraying anti-racist protestors with rubber bullets. And the 100 Americans that are killed by gun violence, and hundreds more wounded, every single day.
What we're seeing across the country is the byproduct of a toxic mix of racism, white supremacy, and America's gun culture. It's time for this to stop. And we're working to stop it.

COVID-19 kept us home and closed countless businesses. But it did nothing to slow down gun violence. Since the onset of COVID-19, the country has actually seen a rise in gun violence: The number of gun deaths trended higher during the peak coronavirus outbreak period of March through the Memorial Day weekend in May than during the same time frame in 2019.
And all the while, the gun lobby and its allies in Congress continue to block efforts at gun safety reform.
We can beat the NRA in November and beyond. We did it in 2018 and 2019 at the ballot box and every day in state legislatures across the country. And we have big plans for 2020.
At Everytown for Gun Safety and Moms Demand Action we're all in. Our 50-state plan to advocate for stronger gun laws in state legislatures, and mobilize gun sense voters and activists ahead of the November elections is gathering steam. But we need you and other supporters of common sense gun policies to keep up the momentum.
John, we have never been stronger. And the gun lobby has never been more vulnerable. And frankly the stakes are much, much too high to lose this year.
So please, donate like lives depend on us. Because they do. Donate today and your donation will go 3X as far to end gun violence.
Thank you for all you do for a safer America.
Sincerely,
John Feinblatt
