Hi John,
In late April, Donald Trump’s Justice Department launched an investigation into ActBlue — the grassroots platform that powers small-dollar Democratic fundraising across the country.
The goal was clear: Strangle ActBlue and cut off the grassroots donations fueling Democratic campaigns, organizers, and the pro-democracy infrastructure that’s fighting back against Trump’s authoritarian agenda.
But here’s the thing:
It’s backfiring.
According to reports, ActBlue processed over $393 million in grassroots donations last quarter — nearly matching Q1’s total and up 36% from 2021.
Since Trump announced his investigation into the platform, more than 400,000 new donors have joined.
The numbers show that, even as Trump and MAGA try to crush ActBlue and dismantle Democratic infrastructure, small-dollar donors aren’t having it.
At COURIER, we’ve been sounding the alarm since day one — exposing Trump’s attacks on ActBlue, lifting up the work of organizing on the ground, and reporting the facts that corporate media won’t touch to our millions of followers across social media.
We’re getting the word out, but we can’t keep it going without your support.
Chip in nowIn solidarity,
— The COURIER Team
