Friend,
It’s been six months since the Palisades and Eaton wildfires — two of the most destructive in California history — tore through Los Angeles. Medical clinics were destroyed, thousands of families were left without homes, and lives were forever changed in communities like Altadena.
Thanks to our generous community of supporters, Project HOPE’s Emergency Response Team deployed immediately in the wake of the devastation, and we’re still there today, six months later. Will you take a minute to explore our response in Los Angeles with our visual timeline?

Since the beginning of our response, Project HOPE has reached over 17,000 fire-affected community members across Los Angeles County. We’ve focused on getting help to people directly impacted by the fires, and to local organizations serving the most vulnerable communities.
Thanks to the generous support of Project HOPE donors who stepped up to the plate to help Los Angeles recover, the Project HOPE team has deployed...
- 🧼 Nearly 3,000 family hygiene kits and hundreds of other hygiene supplies, including diapers, wipes, and other essentials
- 🚰 Bottled water for hundreds of people in shelters or communities without access to stores and aid services
- 💊 150 family health kits with basic medicines and bandages
- 🧸 Nearly 500 “Kid Kits” designed to support Psychological First Aid for children
- 🥽 350 personal protective equipment (PPE) kits with industrial-grade gloves, masks, and goggles for those re-entering fire zones
- 😷 5,000 surgical masks, 1,600 air purifiers, and extra air purifier filters
