Hey, I’m sorry to email so early on a Sunday, but I needed to reach out to my top supporters and ask:

Can you chip in just $5 to help us hit our mid-month fundraising goal and defend KS-03?

Trust me, I know it can be frustrating when elected officials reach out all the time asking for donations. It’s an unfortunate consequence of all the court decisions that allowed unlimited sums of dark money to flood our elections.

But I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t important.

Look, I’m the only Democrat representing Kansas in Congress, and we know for a fact that National Republicans are desperate to kick me out. That’s why Mike Johnson even personally wired money to my opponent last year.

If we want to elect a Democratic majority, we have to defend this seat. And hitting each and every one of our fundraising goals is the best way to put this campaign on the path to victory.

If everyone reading this email chipped in just $5, we’d close the gap on our goal within minutes — and send a message that grassroots supporters like you are ready to do whatever it takes to protect this seat.
