I’m writing to you now to ask you to make a contribution to my campaign for U.S. Senate. Give me a brief moment to explain why your support is so important.

Every three months, candidates for federal office — including elected officials like me — have to report their fundraising details to the Federal Election Commission and make all of our numbers public. It’s a way of ensuring transparency in our elections, yes — but it’s also an important test for our campaign.

You see, the FEC report will show the amount of money we have raised this quarter, how much we have in the bank, and most importantly, the number of people who have pitched in to help us along the way.

I took a look at our fundraising numbers just a few minutes ago and unfortunately, we’re not on track to reach our grassroots goal this quarter. I’m afraid we could miss the mark entirely if folks like you don’t step up soon.

So, the team and I have decided to set an ambitious goal of 25,000 individual donors to our campaign before the deadline. It’s a tall ask, but I’m confident we can hit our target and report strong numbers to the FEC.

Can you make a contribution today to help us get to 25,000 donors before the FEC deadline? If you chip in before the deadline, your name could be added to our public report:

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

I can always count on the responses to these emails being really great, and I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you're a part of the strongest grassroots team in the nation.

I’m also looking forward to seeing your name in our FEC report. Thanks for your support at this important moment.
