Dear John,

The Earth is at a tipping point. Wildlife and wilderness are vanishing at the fastest rate in human history and extreme weather is becoming the norm. Scientists warn we have just three years left until we fully breach 1.5°C global warming.

There is no time to lose. In the past you have made a huge difference for threatened land and species by supporting World Land Trust, and now you can be part of the solution again.

Help us support crucial land purchase projects at this important crossroads for biodiversity.

With our Buy an Acre programme, you can make a difference right now. From Argentina’s windswept grasslands to Kenya’s coastal forests, Buy an Acre funds local people across the world to protect habitats, save wildlife, support communities, and tackle climate change.

We need your support for our Buy an Acre programme to allow our trusted conservation partners to purchase priority areas of land in the world’s most threatened ecosystems.

** UGANDA’S ALBERTINE RIFT
------------------------------------------------------------

As our longest-running programme, Buy an Acre has a track record of success. Our current Buy an Acre projects support diverse land purchases worldwide, each playing a crucial role in protecting tropical forest, savannah and scrubland. Among our newest projects is the Albertine Rift in Uganda.

Uganda’s Albertine Rift is
one of Earth’s most important biodiversity hotspots, providing a vital sanctuary for threatened species like the Endangered African Savannah Elephant (Loxodonta africana). But the region faces mounting pressure from the East Africa crude oil pipeline, deforestation and agricultural expansion.

Funds raised for the project will enable our partner Environmental Defenders to safeguard their Nyamukino Reserve – expanding it by an impressive 830 hectares (2,070 acres) to more than triple its size, funding a local ranger for one year, and supporting the planting of 144,000 native trees to restore degraded areas of land.

Help us transform the future of this threatened landscape and many more around the world.
BUY AN ACRE TODAY! ([link removed])

It’s never been more important to take action to protect land and species. Don’t delay - donate today and together we can save our wild world together, acre by acre.
