Hello, True Texans!

True Texans have done a great job working to bring relief to our friends struggling from the Central Texas flooding.  You already know about the donation drive we did, but you probably haven't heard about what we sent for this coming week:  socks and underwear!  And t-shirts too.  The workers are blowing through dry supplies rapidly all day every day, so we used the cash that was donated and had Amazon send in replenishments.

Next up is our Boot Scootin' Benefit where we will put boots on the floor to support boots on the ground! (Clever, huh? Our graphics girls came up with that one.)

Notice we added a blurb to the flyer:  YES, THIS IS A FAMILY-FRIENDLY EVENT! Bring everyone! ❤️  Our good pal Bobby Lindamood will be joining the band on stage, so if you know Bobby, you know you want to be there!

Here's one heartfelt thank you we've received from long-time friend and fellow activist Terri Hall.  You've probably met Terri.  She speaks to our satellite groups often on transportation issues in Texas.  Well, she lives in the affected area, and here's what she sent me:

I can’t express how much this means to all of us down here — to have faithful like-minded friends share their generosity in so many ways, and it just keeps coming! Bless you all! So grateful for our fellow Texans — for their love, prayers, and tangible gifts to help us rebuild #KerrStrong. From this tragedy also comes beauty, and you’re demonstrating that by being the hands and feet of Christ to our devastated and hurting community.

Deeply humbled,
- Terri Hall

DON'T QUIT ON ME NOW!
Meanwhile, we are still needing to raise funds to keep our own organization alive.  I feel like I bring this up a lot, but y'all, we need a significant boost.  One easy and affordable way you can help is participating in our Red, White, and True Texan challenge. You've heard the expression "Many hands make light work"?  Well, many hands offering one dollar bills add up too.  We're asking everyone who appreciates True Texas Project to donate one dollar -- just one dollar -- and then challenge someone else to do it too.  And then that person will challenge someone... and that person will challenge someone else... and that person... Well, you get the idea.  Come on!  Make a fun video or take a pic with your dollar, and help us out!  Need more information on how this works?  Read it here.  And don't forget to get a new tshirt with our super cool logo!

Keeping Things Going...
Want to donate without participating in the challenge?  If you have the ability to give, please do. Small, monthly donations go a really long way. Can you chip in 15 bucks a month? We are grateful for any help.

Certified True Texan Training for YOUTH, focused on teaching younger Texans from 6th-12th grade the basics of Texas history, governance, and conservative activism, is almost here!  It's a youth version of all 5 of the Certified True Texan classes. After one full day of sessions, the youth have earned a cool T Shirt and gained a ton of important knowledge to carry forward. Always blowing and going, and I love working with you!  Thank you so much for being a True Texan!
