Dear Friends and Allies,
For the last two years we have been invested in and promoting the concept of Down Is What’s Up!
This is the idea that we must focus on down ballot races to impact leadership changes at the local level to impact lives at the local level . This is about jobs ( what Supervisor Nikki Bas just did in Alameda ), about protecting our safety net ( what Hoan Huynh is doing in Illinois to protect hospital funding ), and to protect our freedoms ( what Mayor Bass is doing in Los Angeles to fight off the Trump invasions into our cities ).
We hope that you will invest in our down ballot strategy as well as our “Long Tail” work which I will explain in another email.
As we participate in critical peaceful protests like “No Kings” we also must do the day to day work to change the leadership, so we can battle back where the Democrats have lost their way. We will continue to bring you new young vibrant leaders such as Dorcey Applyrs running for mayor of Albany New York or Paloma Aguirre running for supervisor in San Diego. Over the next few months we hope to be working with hundreds of “new blood” candidates who are more focused on results than rhetoric. Lower gas prices, cheaper health costs, housing (like what Assemblymember Anamarie Avila Farias is spearheading in CA) and the kinds of economic stability support gubernatorial candidate for Michigan Garlin Gilchrist is proposing.
We hope to find ways to make America safe, economically stable, and family friendly for all our communities. And we will work to fight the hate and fear that this Administration is using as a weapon to hold us down. We must take out the Republican infrastructure from the bottom up in order to win top down.
Join us and learn more about all these people trying to make your lives better. [[link removed]]

PowerPAC is a social justice organization that strategically directs financial and human resources to local and state organizations working to deliver wins in legislative fights, ballot initiatives, and more. For years the money we've raised has, dollar for dollar, been given back to the communities we work with. We've made sure that your investments were being used to build power for our communities because too often we are underrepresented and ignored.
