John, this month, Republicans passed one of the cruelest and most irresponsible bills I’ve ever seen.

I served 11 years in the Georgia House. I’ve been under pressure – from governors, lobbyists, corporations, even my own colleagues – and I still stood my ground.

But today’s Republican Congress is doing the opposite. They’re selling out working Americans to give massive tax cuts to the wealthy. They’re slashing Medicaid and gutting food assistance programs with devastating consequences.
* Rural hospitals forced to close
* Seniors unable to afford nursing homes
* Nearly 18 million school meals in jeopardy
* Children thrown off food assistance, going to bed hungry
* Kids with life-threatening conditions losing access to care
* Families left without support for mental health or addiction treatment

All of this so Republicans can hand trillions to corporations, CEOs, and the richest families while everyday Americans suffer.

It’s wrong. It’s immoral. And it’s time to fight back.

We need to demand that state and local leaders protect our healthcare. And in 2026, we must send a clear message: this blatant betrayal will not stand.
