Washington, D.C. | www.mpac.org ([link removed]) | July 12, 2025 —The Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) strongly condemns the brutal killing of dual U.S.-Palestinian citizen Sayfollah Musallet, who was attacked by Israeli settlers while visiting his family in the West Bank. We call on the U.S. State Department and the United Nations to immediately conduct a transparent and independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
We must expose Musallet’s death for what it is: a growing rate of settler violence in the West Bank, enabled by Israeli military support and funded by U.S. taxpayers. This is not an isolated incident, but instead part of a recurring pattern of the killing of innocent Americans and Palestinians with impunity and without accountability. In 2022, American journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was murdered by the IDF. Since Oct. 7, Israel has killed at least 5 U.S. citizens, yet the United States continues to back and fund Israeli weaponry.
MPAC calls on members of civil society to contact the U.S. Department of State to demand an independent and transparent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing of Sayfollah Musallet.
We extend our deepest condolences to Sayfollah’s family and loved ones. MPAC reaffirms our commitment to justice and the protection of lives— both domestic and international.
We must stop the genocide in Gaza. We must stop funding Israel for the killings of U.S. and Palestinian citizens. We must stop letting silence shield genocide.
