This Week in D.C.

TX-30 Telephone Town Hall

I want to thank everyone who joined our tele-town hall this week! Your time, your questions, and your commitment to staying informed means the world to me.

We’re living through some real chaos right now—cuts to healthcare, attacks on our freedoms, and disaster response systems that are barely functioning.

But what gives me hope is knowing that folks like you are paying attention, staying engaged, and holding people accountable. If you missed it, you can catch the replay HERE.

Standing Up for Texans

Republicans gutted emergency services, then dragged their feet when Texas was flooding. Rep. Casar and I are demanding answers from FEMA, NOAA, and the Commerce Department’s Inspector General about the delays, the cuts, and why help didn’t come sooner.

Read the letters we sent HERE.

I joined MSNBC to discuss disaster response, climate denial, and GOP corruption. I called out the administration’s failure to act during deadly storms, questioned whether FEMA is even functioning, and condemned the politicization of federal aid.

Military Service Academy

Members of Congress may nominate candidates for appointment to four of the five U.S. service academies: U.S. Military Academy (USMA), West Point, NY; the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), Annapolis, MD; the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAFA), Colorado Springs, CO; and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA), Kings Point, NY. The fifth service academy, the U.S. Coast Guard Academy (USCGA), New London, CT, does not require a congressional nomination for appointment.

Congresswoman Crockett may nominate up to ten individuals for each vacant academy slot allotted to our district. To request a Service Academy Nomination from our office, visit: tx30.us/military.
