We know you can’t donate to every email we send, Shawn.

That would be a bit crazy.

And we know you probably didn’t wake up this morning, get out of bed, and think to yourself: “I’m going to give $5 to VoteVets.”

But, that’s what we’re asking you to do.

We’re asking you because Trump is on an absolute rampage through our democracy. He’s taken every opportunity he possibly can to consolidate power for himself and weaponize it against his adversaries — including us.

This is all coming to a head as we speak. Trump just passed his budget, the centerpiece of his administration, and gave Immigrations and Customs Enforcement a bigger budget than the United States Marine Corps.

He isn't just going after criminals. He's going after everyone — grandmas, grandpas, hard working and law abiding folks. Even Veterans, Military Families, and immigrants who fought by our side during the War on Terror are getting caught up in his dragnet. It's a travesty.

Somehow, it doesn't even stop there. Medicaid, food assistance, rent assistance — programs Veterans depend on have been cut to the bone. Veterans care through the VA has never been more at risk. It's already degraded to the point many Veterans question how they can even access a clinic, and it's set to get even worse with their plans to separate a full 30,000 VA staff from their jobs.

So, what can we do?

VoteVets is one of the only organizations capable of standing in the way of Trump. Matter of fact, we’re one of the only organizations actively working to stop his agenda. We’ve racked up some wins in court, and some electoral victories — but we have to do more.

And the only way we can is when our supporters choose to chip in to emails like this one. They’re one of the primary ways we cover the cost of our operations.
