Washington Democrats promised us a zero-emission ferry fleet. What did we get? One ferry conversion — one — that was a year late and $133 million over budget. Now they’re admitting the rest of the plan is stalled, and no new electric ferries or charging stations will be ready before 2030.

Democrat State Senator Marko Liias, the same guy who helped steer us into this mess, now wants to throw billions more at building new boats at $405 million each — and calls it “progress.”
