On July 4th, Donald Trump did the most un-American thing he could do by signing the Big Ugly Bill into law. Republicans knew full well how destructive this budget bill was. It threatens the health care, food assistance, and employment of countless Americans.
But they voted for it anyway.
Choosing to hurt the vast majority of Americans in service of the wealthy few, all the while adding trillions to our national debt, is a shameful and devastating betrayal of the people.
It’s never been more important to flip the House blue next year.

The effects of the budget bill will cut deep in North Carolina alone.
Rural hospitals across the state will shut down. Nursing homes will go bankrupt. People will be forced to drive hours to get care, and waiting times at emergency rooms will skyrocket.
Republicans passed the Big Ugly Bill with their eyes wide open, and North Carolinians will suffer for it while the rich get even richer.
