The DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE argues that THE PURPOSE OF JUST
GOVERNMENT IS TO SECURE OUR NATURAL RIGHTS, and that JUST GOVERNMENT

people. Over the last few years, we have experienced a constant attack
on our rights—on the freedoms of speech, assembly, and religion, on
due process, on gun ownership, and more.
TODAY, WE ARE RETURNING TO WHAT ABRAHAM LINCOLN IN HIS GETTYSBURG
ADDRESS CALLED A “GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE
PEOPLE.”
THAT MEANS WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE SURE THAT THE WEAPONIZATION
OF GOVERNMENT _NEVER_ HAPPENS AGAIN IN THIS COUNTRY.
Hillsdale College is a leader in this fight—we are REACHING and
