Early Thursday morning, families in Gaza gathered outside one of Project HOPE's health clinics - waiting in line to receive nutritional support and medical care. Instead, an Israeli air strike hit the street outside, killing 15 people, including 10 children and two women.
They died waiting for care. Waiting for HOPE.

Among the people killed were children waiting for their daily nutrition supplements for acute malnutrition and pregnant women waiting for prenatal checkups.
Yet, their lives were abruptly taken from them - a devastating reminder that even at a medical clinic whose location was deconflicted and shared with Israeli forces, there is no safe place left in Gaza. Not for children. Not for mothers. Not for the sick. Not for anyone.
But we are not giving up. Because if our clinics close, more children will die from malnutrition. More mothers will die from preventable pregnancy complications. More people will die from a lack of access to basic, lifesaving medication.
