WPC Holds Government to Account
After Superintendent Reykdal tried to run away from failing public education statistics provided by his own staff and highlighted by WPC, our Paul W. Locke Research Fellow for Education Dr. Vicki Murray talked with Fox 13 to show what Washington can do to actually improve its outcomes. One piece of this includes educational choice, which Dr. Murray wrote about in an op-ed in the Spokesman Review and discussed with Educational Freedom Institute Director Corey DeAngelis (see video below).

Meanwhile, WPC Small Business Director Mark Harmsworth has shown the predictable consequences of Seattle's overregulation of the gig economy, and VP for Research Todd Myers exposed the increased costs of gasoline in Washington state alone thanks to our poorly-named Climate Commitment Act (below).

American By Choice

A Series Celebrating America's Coming 250th Anniversary
As we approach America's 250th birthday next year, some may criticize the United States and its history. At WPC, we want to champion the voices of people who love America, what she stands for, and the opportunities it provides. Whether it's stories of families fleeing communist Russia, seeking opportunity based on merit and hard work, celebrating the innovative spirit of our country, or understanding why our founding makes us great, the unique voices of our American By Choice series are worth listening to.
