Dear John,
The so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) is part one of the biggest wealth grabs in U.S. history, and it’s happening on the backs of the working and middle class.
DOGE, the rogue agency formerly headed by Elon Musk, isn’t just dismantling government – it’s fueling a historic transfer of wealth from working Americans to billionaires.
This isn’t efficient. This is economic warfare.
While families struggle to access clean water, cancer treatment, disability support, or Social Security benefits, DOGE is stripping public institutions bare – and handing the savings straight to corporations and the ultra-rich.
DOGE has already:
-
Slashed clean air and water protections, letting polluters poison our communities
-
Canceled NIH-funded cancer trials mid-treatment, abandoning patients in crisis
-
Fired cybersecurity experts, leaving your personal data unprotected
-
Gutted USAID, worsening hunger and disease for children around the world
-
Cut special education and early learning grants for kids who need them most
-
Crippled Social Security staffing, making it harder for seniors to get their earned benefits
-
Dismantled pandemic response systems, leaving us all more vulnerable
Tell Congress: Don’t give another cent to DOGE. Defund this billionaire-backed assault on our democracy and economy.
Every cut DOGE makes means less help for families and more profit for the ultra-rich. It’s not about waste – it’s about power. And unless we stop it now, DOGE will become the permanent model of how to rig government against the people it’s meant to serve.
DOGE exists to hollow out public services, dismantle democratic safeguards, and funnel public money upward, leaving working people with nothing but the wreckage. DOGE is gutting our government to consolidate power, enable corruption, and crush public trust. Behind every “cut” is a person – a patient, a child, a teacher, a senior – left worse off.
We cannot allow a billionaire’s pet project to become permanent policy. This is our government. Not Musk’s. Not Trump’s. Not Wall Street’s. It’s time to end the sabotage.
Tell Congress: Stop the chaos. Shut down DOGE for good.
Thank you for standing up to protect what belongs to all of us – not just the wealthiest few.
