Good evening.

Tonight is deadline night, and tomorrow we’ll start putting together our numbers for the report we are legally required to file with the state of New York. After that, every dollar we’ve raised and every donation we’ve received will be made public for everyone to see.

It is the most important day of this campaign so far.

But forget about that for just a moment, because I want to talk to you about why I’m even running for governor to begin with.

There was a recent report that 1 in 4 New Yorkers can’t afford basic necessities, whether it’s housing, healthcare, or food.

The status quo is broken. When I made the decision to primary Kathy Hochul, it was because New Yorkers deserve someone who is willing to challenge that status quo and fight for a better tomorrow.

I’ve put forward plans to make housing affordable, healthcare accessible, and child care universal. Better things are possible. But only if we win this race.

It’s going to be an uphill battle. I won’t lie to you. But I know I am not alone – I have supporters like you by my side. And there are countless more across the state who are hungry for change.
