Oklahoma,

I feel a little like it's November 5, 2024. Last week, our Republican-led Congress sent historic bill to President Trump’s desk that slashes spending, makes the Trump tax cuts permanent, builds the wall, funds mass deportations, and guts the waste, fraud, and abuse out of federal programs. On Friday, July 4, he signed it. Now that it's the law, there's NOTHING the left can do to stopPresident Trump’s campaign promises from becoming a reality.

We're still celebrating the passage of President Trump's 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill.' That was the first of three ways we can cut spending. Now we're on to the second, recessions. Remember, this is the process that allows the White House to send Congress a package of previously appropriated dollars for us to cut—saving the American taxpayer money. My Senate GOP colleagues and I are gearing up to fight the Democrats in their next attempt to stop the president from delivering on his campaign promises. However, if it's anything like the fight they put up during reconciliation, we have nothing to fear. We'll likely move on the president's rescissions package early next week, but until then, stay tuned for more updates.

Since 1995, the 'Oklahoma Standard' has been a lifesaver to those in need. Be it friends or strangers, Oklahomans are always ready to lend a helping hand. That standard is being shown right now to our neighbor, Texas. We mourn with our Texas friends in the wake of historic, deadly flooding, and we pray for the victims and their loved ones. I want to highlight the kindness and leadership Governor Stitt, the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management (OEM), and Oklahoma first responders are displaying in their deployment of resources and manpower to assist with the recovery and cleanup efforts. After Oklahoma City was torn apart by a cowardly act of terror, Texans showed up to help us back on our feet. Good neighbors look after each other.

The silence from the left on the recent attacks against our brave men and women of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is outrageous. Their hateful rhetoric is stoking the flames and bringing their followers into a rage. Since the Democrats won't help, Republicans will. That's why we passed President Trump's 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill' so we could give them every tool available to keep themselves and Americans across the nation safe. On Tuesday, I joined Kellyanne Conway on Fox News to highlight the enormous border security wins achieved through this landmark piece of legislation.

Now that it's law, I think it's important to highlight the historical provisions of the 'One, Big, Beautiful Bill.' I want to begin with one of President Trump's most significant campaign promises: securing the border. This week, I penned a 'Mullin It Over' column breaking down the specifics on how it completes the wall, funds our ICE agents and similar agencies, and heavily invests in modernizing the United States Coast Guard.
