Earlier this month, Congressional Republicans pushed through a bill that honestly feels like something out of a bad dream.

I’ve spent a lot of time across southern New Mexico sitting down with families who rely on Medicaid to get to the doctor or use SNAP to make sure their kids don’t go to bed hungry.

These programs aren’t a waste — they’re essentials. They’re what help people stay healthy, put food on the table, and work toward something better.

But this new bill? It slashes those programs. It guts Medicaid. It cuts food assistance. And it does it knowing full well the harm it will cause.

Why? So they can hand out even more tax breaks to billionaires and special interests.

Think of it like a reverse Robin Hood — taking from the people who have the least and giving it to those who already have the most.

It’s cruel and it’s wrong. And I’m going to keep fighting like hell against it. But here’s the truth: I can’t do it alone.

This district could be the deciding seat in the fight to flip the House. If we win here, we can finally start holding Donald Trump and his enablers accountable. And Republicans know it. That’s why they’re already flooding this race with dark money and doing whatever it takes to try to buy this seat.

I love New Mexico. I love our people. I see how hard folks here work every single day to care for their families, their neighbors, and their future. We deserve better than what this bill will do to us.
