Hi, it's Deborah.
Recently, the Supreme Court voted to limit nationwide injunctions. This is a constitutional crisis unfolding in real time, and I'll tell you why.
Before I explain, I need to ask you directly: Will you chip in $10 now to protect NC-02 and lay the groundwork to take back the House next year? The fight to protect our democracy hinges on Democrats flipping the House in 2026.
A nationwide injunction is a crucial tool for protecting Americans from presidential abuse of power. It can put a pause on any law, regulation, or policy from taking effect while it's being litigated in court.
It's been used to:
- Halt Trump's unconstitutional birthright citizenship Executive Order,
- Stop the illegal mass firings of federal employees,
- Prevent Elon Musk from accessing sensitive government data,
…and more.
With this ruling, the Supreme Court just handed Trump a free pass to violate the Constitution by removing the emergency brakes.
But here's the thing — lawmakers can and should protect the courts' use of nationwide injunctions by passing legislation to codify their use by district courts.
That’s why it’s so critical we take back control of the House, and why I'm asking you again: Will you chip in $10 to help us build the infrastructure we need to flip the House blue and put an end to Trump's relentless assault on our democracy?
