Dear Friends,

I am writing to share the latest updates with you on my recent Congressional work.

Last week, I voted to approve H.R. 1 which will deliver historic investments in border security and critical tax relief for all Americans, including families, seniors, California property owners, and local businesses.  

Additionally, my office welcomed Home Depot employees from across Southern California to discuss the benefit of the recently approved tax cuts and the need to counter ongoing coordinated retail theft.  

Second Lady Usha Vance, a San Diego native, has launched the 2025 Summer Reading Challenge for youth across the country, grades K-8. This is a very worthwhile program, and I invite all students in the 48th congressional district to participate. 

Finally, my entire staff and I joined the Escondido community to honor the life of Noah Tobin, a 23-year-old San Diego Navy sailor. Noah was one of eight siblings who followed in the footsteps of his grandfathers and joined the Navy where he served as a Special Boat Operator, Petty Officer Second Class, and was part of the elite Special Warfare Combat Crewman.
