July is Minority Mental Health Awareness Month — a time to recognize how deeply our mental health connects to the systems we live in, including the policies that impact our rights, our safety, and our sense of belonging. As some leaders push harmful legislation forward, we are reminded that voting is not just about politics — it is about protecting people and shaping a future where every community can thrive. Many of us are feeling overwhelmed and exhausted by the nonstop news cycle and the ongoing attacks on our communities. That is why we are making space for care. In partnership with Headspace, we created an Election Season Survival Guide — a resource to help you protect your peace, manage stress, and stay grounded while staying engaged.

Now, let’s look at what is on the horizon for When We All Vote:

⭐ This month, When We All Vote turns seven — and we are celebrating seven years of building power, shifting culture, and helping more people show up at the ballot box. When we launched, our mission was clear: to change the culture around voting and make participation a lifelong habit. Seven years later, that mission is stronger than ever. We remain in communities, educating voters, mobilizing young people, and ensuring that every election — big or small — receives the attention it deserves. And we are just getting started.

⭐ On July 17th, we’ll observe the John Lewis National Day of Commemoration and Action — a powerful reminder of Congressman John Lewis’s legacy and the work that still lies ahead. This day honors his life of service, his unwavering fight for voting rights, and his call to get into “good trouble.” Across the country, communities will gather for celebrations, voter registration drives, and local actions to protect our democracy and advocate for important legislation, such as the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. As we reflect on his legacy, the best way to honor John Lewis is to continue to show up and make our voices heard.

⭐ Sunday, July 27, marks 100 days until Election Day, and we are getting ready to go big. At When We All Vote, this campaign is more than a countdown, it is our biggest digital push of the year to organize, mobilize, and ensure our communities are ready to vote in the local and statewide races that impact everything from education and public safety to immigration and reproductive rights. Over the next few weeks, you will hear more about how you can get involved. Because when you invest in participation, you invest in progress.
