WATCHING PRESIDENT TRUMP SIGN THE "ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL" INTO LAW AT THE WHITE HOUSE On Independence Day, President Trump signed into law the “One, Big, Beautiful Bill” — liberating the American people from high taxes. It was an honor to be at the White House for this historic moment. This legislation is the largest tax cut for Iowa families, farmers, workers, seniors, and small businesses in history. It will grow our economy, keep our border secure, unleash American energy production, and invest in our military. I thank President Trump for his leadership and mission making the “One, Big, Beautiful Bill” the law of the land. APPLAUDING THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION FOR ROLLING OUT THE NATIONAL FARM SECURITY ACTION PLAN I thank President Trump and Secretary Rollins for rolling out the National Farm Security Action Plan and standing with Iowa farmers and producers. This initiative will help keep American farmland in the hands of American farmers, protect our agricultural research and supply chains from China, and defend American agriculture from the threat of foreign animal disease. By cementing our agricultural dominance and investing in our rural communities, we ensure that American farmers and producers can continue to feed and fuel our country and the world. Trump admin launches National Farm Security Action Plan to ban China's farmland purchases, halt dangerous research The multi-agency effort, announced by Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins, will strengthen US agricultural research and safeguard it from malign foreign influence, intellectual property theft, and the growing threat of agroterrorism. CODIFYING PRESIDENT TRUMP'S EXECUTIVE ORDERS IN THE "ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL" We codified 28 of President Trump’s executive orders in the “One, Big, Beautiful Bill.” From American energy dominance and border security to fiscal responsibility and government efficiency, we are making the America First agenda the law of the land! PRESIDENT TRUMP'S "ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL" KEEPS OUR BORDER SECURE President Trump’s “One, Big, Beautiful Bill” finishes the border wall and hires 10,000 new ICE agents, 5,000 new customs officers, and 3,000 new border patrol agents. The men and women who put their lives on the line and serve our communities should not see their hard-earned overtime compensation lost to excessive taxation. IMPROVING THE LIVESTOCK INDEMNITY PROGRAM FOR OUR PRODUCERS When severe storms strike or animal disease spreads, Iowa cattle producers deserve a fair price for deceased livestock. However, under current law, payment rates from the Livestock Indemnity Program are only updated once a year – a lengthy period that does not accurately reflect unpredictable market conditions or support family farms. My bill – the Livestock Indemnity Program Improvement Act – will cut that timeframe down to every three months so that our producers receive a fair and more accurate price for their livestock. Allowing the free market to work as intended will ensure that cattle producers are fairly compensated for losses out of their control. Feenstra Introduces Legislation to Improve Livestock Indemnity Program and Support Iowa Cattle Producers HULL, IOWA - Today, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) introduced legislation - the Livestock Indemnity Program Improvement Act - to make needed updates to the Livestock Indemnity Program (LIP) so that Iowa cattle and livestock producers receive a fair market price for their livestock. That means parents have more breathing room in their budgets to raise their kids. It also increases the standard deduction to nearly $16,000 for individuals and almost $32,000 for married couples, ensuring that they can keep more of their hard-earned money. Strong families are the foundation of strong communities. ONE LAST THING: HONORING HEROES IN OUR COMMUNITIES This week, Matthew Ward and Geno Mowdy were recognized by the Le Mars Police Department for their heroic work saving children from drowning in the Le Mars Municipal Pit.
