Team, I need you to hear this from me:
I’m not running for Senate because I want to cater to the wealthy and well-connected. I’m running because working families deserve better. I’ve proven I know how to get things done — and Washington needs more of that.
When Trump took office, he promised he’d fight for working families. He said he’d lower costs, make health care affordable, and bring down taxes for everyday Americans. But once in office, he did the opposite — and it was no surprise to us.
He gutted Medicaid, attacked SNAP, and handed out massive tax breaks to billionaires while leaving everyday families behind. And too many Republicans in Congress stood by and let it happen. They had their chance to stand up for the middle class, and they failed.
That’s the playbook Republicans have followed for years. They make promises. They give speeches. But they don't deliver.
In Illinois, I did.
As Lieutenant Governor, I’ve helped raise the minimum wage, expand access to health care, protect reproductive freedom, and invest in communities too often left behind. We didn’t wait for permission — we acted. And we made progress.
That’s why I’m running for the United States Senate — because Illinois needs a fighter who doesn’t just talk about change, but delivers it. Illinois needs someone who’ll stand up to Trump and his MAGA cronies and make sure they don’t derail the progress we’ve made.
So if you’re with me — if you believe that we need new voices in Washington who will stand firm and fight fiercely to move us forward — I’m asking:
