Team, all week, my team has been connecting with constituents desperately trying to get answers about Trump and the GOP’s disastrous “Big Beautiful Bill” legislation. The thing we hear the most is “Who would vote for such a thing?”

The answer is crystal clear: corrupt Republicans who would rather fight to be the President’s new favorite than fight for their own constituents.

Millions of Americans are at risk. I know there is a lot yet to be answered, a lot to be said, and a lot to worry about. I wanted to take this opportunity to give you a chance to voice your concerns and questions, and I will do my best to address them in the coming weeks.

Republicans have lost the plot. They are crying waste, fraud, and abuse while passing legislation that would explode the deficit by $4 trillion. I can’t help but reminisce on Pope Leo XIV’s words from earlier this year: Can they not see the suffering of others?

We are already living in a time of skyrocketing prices, authoritarianism, job insecurity, a record number of uninsured Americans, and economic uncertainty. And now to strip away $1 trillion in Medicaid, $186 billion in SNAP, and ongoing revenue from the clean energy industry to pay for tax cuts to the 1% is out of touch, anti-American, and will go down as one of the biggest upward wealth transfers from the poor to the rich in our history.

But Democrats in Congress are fighting for you, even if the GOP won’t. We will not give up, and I am here to answer your questions, uplift your calls for help, and fight for you any way I can.
