** Defining the Landscape of Late-Onset Unexplained Epilepsy Conference
------------------------------------------------------------

We’re proud to sponsor the Epilepsy Foundation New England’s conference, Defining the Landscape of Late-Onset Unexplained Epilepsy ([link removed]) , happening October 15–17 at the Migis Lodge at Sebago Lake in South Casco, Maine.

This multidisciplinary conference will convene physicians and scientists to explore emerging research topics relevant to late-onset unexplained epilepsy (LoUE). The program will feature presentations from leading experts in the fields of epilepsy, neurodegenerative disease, and vascular disease, along with lively discussion and debate, to share knowledge and resources, foster collaboration, and establish future research priorities.

This will be a small but highly interactive conference (65 attendees). Apply to participate and help shape the future of LoUE research!

** NIH Blueprint MedTech Program Funding Opportunities
------------------------------------------------------------

Apply for funding from NIH Blueprint MedTech ([link removed]) incubator hubs, Cimit's CINTA and NeuroTech Harbor, through the NIH Blueprint MedTech program. They are seeking pre-proposals from academic, industry, and nonprofit applicants who have emerging preventative, therapeutic, or diagnostic medical devices focused on disorders of the nervous system. There is a two-stage process for awards:
* Sprinter: Sprinter awards provide $100,000 in support over 20-weeks to focus on identifying and undertaking the first critical steps towards product development. Mentors will work with awardees throughout to help resolve identified gaps on the path to commercialization in advance of a Deep Dive evaluation.
* Optimizer: Optimizer awards up to $1.285M for one year will be awarded to the most promising technologies after a Deep Dive evaluation. These awards help accelerate development toward commercialization. In addition to funding, awardees will have access to resources and support services as well as ongoing specialized support from mentors with deep expertise in commercializing medical devices.
