Democrat,

I hope you were able to celebrate the Fourth of July with family and friends. Independence Day serves as a reminder of the values our country was founded on and the demands our constitution makes of us to uphold democracy and freedom. We love our country, which is why we are in this fight to make it a better place for all.

Many of us are heartbroken by the devastation in Texas as a result of extreme flooding. If you are looking to support recovery efforts, please click HERE to find those resources.

While disaster struck in Texas, Trump was too busy celebrating his price hike bill becoming law by playing golf at Bedminster. This law raises costs for New Jersey families and slashes funding for disaster preparedness, including the National Weather Service. Trump spent the weekend ignoring the damage, all while celebrating a tax hike that puts OUR safety at risk. This law doesn’t just hit our wallets, it’s a direct threat to our well-being. Yet, Jack Ciattarelli is all for it. We need leaders like Mikie Sherrill, who will fight to address the affordability crisis and take combatting the climate crisis seriously.

— Chairman LeRoy J. Jones, Jr.

Trump’s federal budget took an ax to the progress we made in combatting climate change and advancing the clean energy transition by killing tax credits for solar and wind projects. Companies were given a short window to start construction before these credits were phased out in 2026. But, of course, Trump couldn’t let that compromise stand. This week, he took this regression a step further with a new executive order that cracks down even harder on these credits.

This is a direct attack on clean energy jobs and New Jersey’s future. We need leaders who recognize the economic potential of clean energy, not push false narratives that harm our climate.

Our gubernatorial nominee, Mikie Sherrill, received some major labor endorsements recently, underscoring her strong commitment to protecting workers’ rights and defending the right to unionize across New Jersey. As the proud granddaughter of a union worker, she knows how important our unions are to building opportunities for working families.

These endorsements include:

  • AFL-CIO

  • New Jersey State Association of Pipe Trades

  • SMART-TD

  • New Jersey State Council of SMART

  • New Jersey State Council of Machinists

  • Workers United

  • AFSCME New Jersey Council 63

  • CWA District 1

  • 32BJ SEIU

  • 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East

  • SEIU New Jersey State Council

  • HPAE

  • JNESO District Council 1

  • American Federation of Teachers New Jersey

  • UFCW Locals 152, 312, 360, 464A, 888, and 1262

  • Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union

Jack Ciattarelli is fully backing Trump’s price hike law, and it’s New Jersey families who will pay the price. Here’s what his support for this law really means:

  • 400,000 New Jerseyans will lose their health care.

  • $3.3 billion cut from hospitals and public health funding every year.

  • 90,000 more people will lose ACA tax credits, hitting the most vulnerable.

We need a governor who champions healthcare, not cheers for its decimation.

New Jersey’s Senators, Cory Booker and Andy Kim, are standing up for the people of our state by rejecting Alina Habba’s nomination for a full term as U.S. Attorney. Both Senators made it clear that Habba’s time as interim U.S. Attorney proved she is not fit for the job. This is a person who has promised to help “turn New Jersey red” and pursued unjust, politically motivated charges against Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and Congresswoman LaMonica McIver.

New Jersey deserves a U.S. Attorney with real law enforcement experience and a focus on justice. Booker and Kim are fighting for us by putting a stop to her nomination.

Like we mentioned last week, Trump’s budget passed with extremely thin margins which showcases how critical it is we take back the House and Senate in 2026. However, our election this year is just as important. We need to elect a strong leader who will protect us in times of uncertainty and will answer to us, and that leader is Mikie Sherrill. We are 116 days away from Election Day, the time to get involved is now not later.
