Despite the naysayers and those who have apocalyptic-level reactions to everything President Trump does, his America First agenda is delivering results week after week and month after month. Last week, you saw the One Big Beautiful Bill Act pass the People’s House and get signed into law. As I detailed to you then, it was a seismic victory for the entire nation. Another victory for the nation – that many may not have read about – is the latest Jobs Report for the month of June. It was the fourth straight month of beating expectations.
Here are just a few headlines from some familiar news outlets over the past four months:
Wall Street Journal
Hiring Defied Expectations in March, With 228,000 New Jobs
CBS News
Employers added 177,000 jobs in April, topping analyst forecasts
CNBC
U.S. payrolls increase 139,000 in May, more than expected
CNN
The US economy added a stronger-than-expected 147,000 jobs in June and the unemployment rate fell to 4.1%
But wait, there’s more. Here’s another positive statistic that was also highlighted in the June Jobs Report: since January of this year, the number of native-born Americans within the nation’s workforce has increased by over two million. Again, the America First agenda continues to deliver despite the chorus of critics and naysayers. They need to be reminded that the proof is always in the pudding.
More Good News
With the One Big Beautiful Bill having been signed into law, Congress officially codified 28 executive actions taken by President Trump. Here are a few important examples:
- Enforcing the Hyde Amendment.
- Ending taxpayer subsidization of open borders.
- Implementing the President’s “DOGE” cost efficiency initiative.
- Improving education outcomes by empowering parents, states, and communities.
- Reinvigorating American’s beautiful clean coal industry.
Along with reading about these executive actions we have codified, I highly encourage you to read a recent editorial in the Wall Street Journal that corrects the record about the false, misleading claims that the One Big Beautiful Bill Act guts Medicaid – it does not. As Chair of the House Rules Committee, I’m very much looking forward to helping advance the President’s agenda even further to secure more wins for Americans and their families.
Be On The Lookout
Next week, I plan to introduce bipartisan legislation that takes aim at the boycott-sanction-divest (BDS) movement that has overtaken college campuses across the nation. Every time a college or university capitulates to antisemitic mobs, the safety and security of Jewish students, faculty, and staff are compromised. Enough is enough. I look forward to sharing more with you about my legislation in next week’s Foxx Report. Be sure to be on the lookout.
Quote of The Week
“If you accept the expectations of others, especially the negative ones, then you will never change the outcome.”
