We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic person to assist the Electoral Services Team. The ideal candidate will have a good standard of maths and English and have experience of working in an administrative role in a complex customer focused environment. ???

You will form part of the core team assisting with the preparation and publication of the electoral register and organising all types of elections and referenda. ??
??
You must be able to demonstrate effective administration, organisational and communication skills and have the willingness to embrace new ways of working for future changes in electoral services. ??
???
You must be an excellent team player with the ability to work effectively in a team as well as on your own. You must also have good keyboard and IT skills and excellent attention to detail. ??

The ability to be able to respond to pressure at peak times and deliver successful operational outcomes to strict deadlines is essential. ?

You must be flexible and at key times i.e. elections, be prepared even at short notice to work additional hours outside normal office hours, for which you will receive additional payment. ??

Although knowledge of electoral registration and/or elections is an advantage it is not essential as full training will be provided. ??

The daily activities of the role are to conduct routine conveyancing and property related transactions including advising upon, preparing and completing all necessary documentation.? The role is to have a specific emphasis on supporting residential acquisitions for the Council but also assisting with other routine conveyancing and commercial property matters.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

? To be able to provide written and verbal advice to client departments and other officers of the Council on routine aspects of conveyancing practice and procedure and property law including sales, purchases, tenancies, licences and easments.
? Represent the Legal Services Division of the Council at meetings and discussions in connection with property matters.
? Computer literate and experience with use of IT (for example Microsoftword, outlook, excel etc).
