John –
Conspiracy has always been at the heart of Donald Trump’s rise—and the MAGA movement he built.
He launched his political career with the racist “birther” lie about Barack Obama. He flirted with QAnon. He lit the match that led to January 6th. And for more than a decade, he’s fed a network of MAGA online influencers with baseless claims meant to distract, deflect, and divide.
So when Jeffrey Epstein died in federal custody in 2019, Trump did what he always does: he spread lies and pointed fingers.
He retweeted a conspiracy theory that the Clintons had Epstein killed. He insisted—again and again—that his enemies were hiding something.
Now, that same lie is coming back to haunt him, and it threatens to destroy the right-wing misinformation machine he built.
It all started when Trump’s own DOJ released a memo stating there’s no Epstein “client list”—despite repeated promises from Attorney General Pam Bondi (and Trump himself on the campaign trail) that one existed. They even released surveillance footage from the night Epstein died—with one minute mysteriously missing.
MAGA influencers like Laura Loomer and Robby Starbuck went into meltdown, accusing Trump’s DOJ of a cover-up. Even Andrew Schulz—a so-called apolitical comedy “podbro”—said he felt betrayed and regretted voting for Trump.
MAGA isn’t mad because the conspiracy wasn’t true—they’re mad because they still believe it. And now, they think Trump is the one hiding something.
Here’s the uncomfortable part: Trump has never really answered for his relationship with Epstein. There's a video of him partying with Epstein, calling him a “terrific guy” who “likes beautiful women…on the younger side.”
Look, at COURIER, we’re not here to chase conspiracies about Trump or anyone else. We’re here to outgrow them—by reporting the truth.
For years, we’ve called out the rot and lies at the heart of MAGA—and worked to build something better: a progressive media network that reaches the very communities where MAGA disinformation dominates and replaces it with facts instead of fear, journalism instead of insinuation, and values instead of vengeance.
Our mission is to replace the rot of MAGA with news that strengthens democracy instead of hurting it. Our content reaches millions across social media. Recently, our TikTok surpassed CNN in engagement in a single week—despite having less than half the followers and a fraction of the budget.
In solidarity,
