A win for Wisconsin!
In a 4-3 ruling, the Wisconsin Supreme Court's four liberal justices voted to invalidate the 1849 abortion ban.

The U.S. Department of Justice sent a letter to the Pennsylvania Department of State.
The DOJ is asking the state for a wide range of information related to the state’s compliance with the 2002 Help America Vote Act.
On its face, it’s not as aggressive as other letters the DOJ has sent out in recent weeks, some of which have mentioned specific allegations of non-compliance with election law and threatened lawsuits. 10 Outrageous Things You May Not Know About the One Big Beautiful Bill Act
Congressional Republicans’ radical budget and tax bill includes several less-known provisions that will increase costs, fuel the Trump administration’s overreach, and waste taxpayer dollars.
As Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill has just become law, Republicans have concluded their major legislative business for this Congress. From here, the attention of elected officials — and the country — will turn more and more to the midterm elections.
Among those who may be considering how their vote on this bill may impact their midterm election is U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick, who voted against the BBB. Fitzpatrick’s does not have a 'safe' seat. He’s one of just three Republican members in the 119th Congress who serves a district former Vice President Kamala Harris won in 2024.
Gov. Shapiro signed eight bills into law this week covering everything from derelict boats to AI deepfakes, firefighter certification tests, and naloxone distribution by EMTs. Shapiro signed the bill that would lift Pennsylvania's near-total ban on Sunday hunting.
