CTE on the Forefront at WACTE Conference

Superintendent Megan Degenfelder spoke during the Wyoming Association for Career and Technical Education (WACTE)* 2025 Summer Conference [ [link removed] ]*to inform educators, administrators, and industry leaders from across Wyoming on the critical role of Career and Technical Education (CTE) in shaping Wyoming’s economic and workforce future.

Tour of Sunrise Skilled Trades Camp

Superintendent Megan Degenfelder visited the *Sunrise Skilled Trades Camps [ [link removed] ]*. The experience is a unique summer opportunity for students. Born from an idea by local CTE teacher Troy Reichert, this camp is designed for high schoolers eager to explore the world of skilled trades.

Megan with students and educators at Powell High School
Powell High School Showcases Vocational Art Course

Superintendent Megan Degenfelder recently toured *Powell High School [ [link removed] ]* to see the work of Art Teacher Jim Gilman and his students. His vocational art class allows students to express their creativity on large-scale projects. Their work fills the halls, and the whole school has become a museum.

Connecting Education to Economic Growth

Superintendent Megan Degenfelder took part in the *Wyoming Business Alliance Summer Ascent,* [ [link removed] ] which versed education leaders in economic development conversations happening around the state.

WDE Supports Literacy Educators

WDE's *Embracing Literacy Conference [ [link removed] ]* was a huge success! The event impacted over 400 attendees and included an introduction from Superintendent Megan Degenfelder and national and local speakers.
