The Orbis Flying Eye Hospital is heading to Rwanda this month for an exciting sight-saving project!
From July 21 to August 1, 2025, the Flying Eye Hospital will touch down in Kigali to launch our first-ever ophthalmic training project in the country. This milestone makes Rwanda the 84th country Orbis supporters have helped the Flying Eye Hospital reach since 1982 and marks a big step towards increasing access to quality eye care across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Thanks to Orbis supporters and partners, our team of expert Volunteer Faculty and clinical staff will work alongside local eye care professionals, sharing skills through hands-on surgical training, simulation-based learning with VR tools, and ophthalmic workshops.
