 Trump celebrates harsh conditions for detainees on visit to ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ Last week, Donald Trump toured Florida’s new immigrant detention facility located in the Everglades — which his administration has dubbed “Alligator Alcatraz.” The facility — a makeshift, unsafe, overcrowded detention center where humans will be put into cages — is ALREADY flooding, and it’s intentionally designed to subject detainees to inhumane living conditions. Trump has dismissed concerns about the location of the facility and even joked about teaching detainees “how to run away from an alligator if they escape prison.” This is appalling. And it’s just the latest attempt by the Trump administration to terrorize and intimidate immigrants.
