Last Friday, President Trump signed the “Big Beautiful Bill” into law. Among other things, it stripped Planned Parenthood of $500 million in federal funding for one year.

However, within just a matter of days, Planned Parenthood went to a pro-abortion federal judge in an attempt to block this defunding.

Planned Parenthood has built a multi-billion dollar corporation over the last century on lies, deceit, and the destruction of innocent human life. But the abortion goliath will fall, and this historic defunding of federal taxpayer dollars is a key step.

Defunding Planned Parenthood — even for just one year — is a crucial milestone for the pro-life movement that has been decades in the making. We can and should celebrate this victory. However, we must also recognize that this is just the beginning of our work.

We cannot rest until Planned Parenthood is not only fully and permanently defunded but shut down. We must abolish abortion nationwide and ensure that the lives of preborn babies are fully protected under the 14th Amendment.

In addition to federally defunding, the way has also been paved by the Supreme Court for Planned Parenthood to be defunded at the state level.

Our upcoming Lawmakers Summit at the end of this month provides us with an excellent opportunity to equip state lawmakers with the tools, specific language, and policy recommendations they need to enact pro-life policies, like defunding Planned Parenthood, in their states.

Although Congress has begun to recognize the truth, there are many people throughout this country who still don’t realize the full extent of the horror, which is why we must remain steadfast in our efforts to expose Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry as whole for what they are: mass murderers bent on maximizing their profits regardless of who they harm.

Scripture tells us that “the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective” (James 5:16), and in Psalm 127, King Solomon wrote, “Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the guards stand watch in vain.”

It is so important that in everything we do, we are always seeking the Lord’s guidance and allowing Him to lead us. When we do, miraculous things can happen.
