It’s been one week since Congressional extremists passed their big, ugly budget. And yet we’re still learning exactly what’s in its 900 pages.

Along with historic cuts to healthcare and food assistance, President Trump and Republicans legislated loads of hidden – but still awful – provisions into law. Things like:

• Diverting public education funds to private schools for the wealthy
• De-funding Planned Parenthood’s non-abortion services including cancer screenings
• Ending a tax on gun silencers
• Tripling ICE’s budget for deportations

One has to wonder why nearly every single Republican in Congress voted for this downright dangerous bill – and if they even knew what was negotiated overnight and behind closed doors.

Now, it's up to us to ensure our friends and neighbors understand exactly what this bill means for them: higher costs, more waste, less accountability.
