[link removed] [[link removed]] Team, Republicans may have rammed through their disastrous and cruel budget bill through Congress, but when I lose a fight, I don’t pack up and go home. There’s still plenty of work to get done, and I’m not done fighting to deliver real change for Oregon’s working families.

I want to tell you a little more about what I’ve been working on in Congress, but if you don’t have time, please consider making a donation today and help keep me in the fight for you and your family. → [[link removed]?]

Most of us know or love someone who has struggled with mental illnesses or substance abuse.

For me, it was my sister. Growing up, I watched her struggle with depression, and saw firsthand how easily it can be swept under the rug or outright stigmatized. It’s a serious problem, and far too often goes unaddressed.

So I decided to step up, and do something about it.

That’s why I’m proud to have launched the Mental Health Caucus in the House to find commonsense solutions that will help raise awareness, reduce stigma, and increase affordability and access to mental health services across the U.S.

It’s why we introduced a resolution to designate the month of May as Mental Health Awareness Month, and reintroduced our bill to create a new scholarship program for students studying in behavioural health programs.

And it’s yet another reason why I’ve been so forceful in my opposition to Trump’s Republican Tax Scam that guts Medicaid — the single largest payer for mental health services in the nation — just to pay for a massive tax handout to billionaires.

We need to get serious about tackling this challenge, because mental health is an issue that touches all of us, regardless of party, race, or class. If you agree, please chip in $10 or whatever you can spare and help me keep fighting to put an end to America’s mental health crisis — once and for all. → [[link removed]?]
