I'm pissed, Friend.

Less than a week after Texas suffered one of the deadliest floods in state history, Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton are focused on redrawing Texas’s congressional maps to help Trump and Republicans in Congress.

Abbott and Paxton’s top priority isn’t helping Texas recover or preventing another catastrophe on his watch. It’s trying to rig congressional races to boost the Republican House majority – because Donald Trump asked them to.

It’s callous. It’s cynical. And it’s another example of how Texas statewide Republican lawmakers have failed our state.

Let me backup a bit.

Donald Trump knows that his extreme agenda is unpopular. He knows that Republicans are likely to lose the U.S. House in the upcoming midterms. So he’s calling on Abbott and Paxton to redraw Texas’s Congressional maps to rig at least FOUR districts for Republicans.

And like always, Abbott and Paxton are happy to do Trump’s bidding.

Texas deserves better than the failed leadership of corrupt politicians like Greg Abbott and Ken Paxton. It’s time to clean house at the ballot box. Can you chip in $15, $25, or $50 to help us organize and mobilize Texans to defeat Abbott and Paxton?
