Growing up in a military family taught me both the importance of service and the power of loving our country enough to fight for its future. But right now, Donald Trump is turning his back on those who’ve served.
Trump’s Department of Veterans Affairs just announced that it will eliminate nearly 30,000 positions by the end of September. That means longer waits, limited care, and fewer services for our dedicated veterans and military families — families just like mine, who sacrificed everything in service of our nation.
Military service members and veterans in New Mexico and across the country deserve fierce leaders who will honor their sacrifices, not rip away vital services.
That’s why if I’m elected Governor, I will wake up every single day ready to fight for our veterans. I’ll work to hire more Veteran Service Officers, help veterans transition into high-paying civilian jobs, and ensure no veteran in our great state is left behind.
I’m proud to be endorsed by the largest veteran-led grassroots organization in the country. And veterans across the state are rallying behind our campaign. But to win this race and keep New Mexico out of the hands of MAGA forces, we need everyone to step up.
Thank you,
Deb
