The effects of this bill will be a disaster for this district, John.
Many of the changes made in Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill” will hit West and Southwest Michigan especially hard. Our current representative in Congress, Bill Huizenga, is already doing his victory dance in Washington without understanding (or caring) about how it will hurt the people back home.

I’m running for Congress to stand up to President Trump, Representative Huizenga, and the MAGA movement to deliver real solutions to the people of Michigan’s 4th Congressional district. I’m going to ask if you can support the campaign by starting a $10 recurring donation today, but first, let me tell you how this bill will impact our families, friends, and neighbors:
▶️ Over 65,000 children and seniors are now at risk of losing their health insurance and/or health care due to cuts to Medicaid.
▶️ Another 32,000 people who get their insurance through the Affordable Care Act will see their monthly premiums raised, with estimates predicting an average annual increase of about 48%.
▶️ 91,000 people in my district count on SNAP to put food on the table. These cuts also impact the state’s ability to continue providing free breakfast and lunch to school kids who might otherwise go hungry.
Rising costs are already breaking the backs of families in my district: single parent households, military families caring for disabled veterans, small farmers, and others working multiple jobs just to stay afloat.
To say this bill will devastate them is an understatement.
We must flip the House from red to blue to start repairing some of the damage this bill is going to cause around our country. My district, MI-04, is one of the essential districts we need to win in order to make that happen.
I need your help to win this race, John, so I’m asking: can you make a recurring contribution today to help fuel our fight?
After years of failed leadership from Bill Huizenga, my district deserves better— and I’m going to deliver. Thank you for standing with the hardworking people most impacted by this bill and supporting my campaign today.
