Now, the agency has announced that it’s on track to reduce its staff by 30,000 employees by September. John, it’s clear what the end goal of all this is for Trump and his administration: To dismantle and weaken the VA so much that they have an excuse to keep up their privatization grift. But I refuse to sit by while Trump and the GOP tries to gut the VA and use our veterans as pawns in their political games. Here in Western Pennsylvania, we’ve already seen reports that Trump’s hiring freeze affected life-saving VA clinical trials and medical research happening right here—veterans earned a heck of a lot more than that.
