PISCATAQUIS COUNTY - The Maine Department of Transportation will be conducting roadway preservation work on Routes 6 and 15 beginning at the end of June. The project covers an area beginning at Lily Bay Road and extending south for 21.45 miles. Work also involves a section beginning 0.98 miles south of Gales Road and extending south 0.56 miles. Work is anticipated to be completed by September of 2026. Drivers may encounter a single-lane, alternating traffic pattern through the project location. The contractor on this project is Gordon Contracting of Sangerville, ME. The contract amount is $23,694,509.00.
